Regis Rangers History
The Regis Rangers, hailing from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, have a rich history that dates back to the mid-20th century. The university, founded in 1877, started its athletic programs in 1907, but the Rangers particularly rose to prominence in the 1960s and 70s. Originally, they competed at an intramural level, but as school spirit and student interest grew, Regis University expanded its sports programs to include NCAA competition. The Rangers have traditionally participated in a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, and track and field, becoming notable for their competitive spirit and dedication to excellence.
