    Youngstown State Penguins Football has a rich history that dates back to 1938 when the team was established as a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference. In 1978, the Penguins made a significant leap by joining the NCAA Division I-AA (now known as FCS), where they would go on to achieve remarkable success.
