Western Carolina Catamounts football is the intercollegiate football program representing Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina. The program began in 1931 and has a rich history in NCAA Division I football. The Catamounts were a part of the Southern Conference from their inception until 1976 and then became a member of the SoCon again from 1984 until 2014.
