    Voxtrot History

Voxtrot is an American indie pop band formed in 2002 in Austin, Texas. The band consists of members Ramesh Srivastava (vocals, guitar), Mitch Scheckel (guitar, backing vocals), Jason Chronis (bass, backing vocals), and two others who played drums and keyboards. Voxtrot made a notable entry into the indie music scene with their self-titled debut EP released in 2005, which showcased their unique sound blending melodic tunes with emotive lyrics. Over the years, they garnered a loyal following, particularly known for their energetic and engaging live shows. Their live performances quickly became a highlight of their career, as fans were drawn to Ramesh's heartfelt vocal delivery and the band's dynamic synergy on stage. The band's blend of indie pop and light rock influences led to appearances at numerous music festivals, including South by Southwest (SXSW), helping them to solidify their reputation as a must-see live act. In 2007, Voxtrot released their critically acclaimed debut album, 'Voxtrot', further establishing their place in the indie music circuit. Despite announcing a hiatus in 2010, they continued to be revered within the music community for their contributions to the genre, leaving fans hopeful for future reunions and performances.
