Truly History
Truly, an influential band from the early '90s, emerged from the Seattle grunge scene, characterized by their melodic sound that blended alternative rock with introspective lyrics. Comprised of members Robert 'Bobby' W. Bender, John L. Decker, and others, the band debuted with their album 'Feeling Kind Of Lucky' in 1994, which garnered critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase. Their sound was marked by a jangly guitar pop aesthetic, setting them apart from heavier grunge contemporaries. Despite never achieving mainstream success comparable to bands like Nirvana or Pearl Jam, Truly developed a dedicated following through their energetic live performances and unique sound. Over the years, they toured extensively across the United States, building a reputation as true music artisans who resonated with audiences on a personal level. The band's ethos focused on authenticity and creativity, which was not only reflected in their albums but also in their engaging stage presence during concerts, allowing fans to connect emotionally with their music. After a long hiatus, Truly reunited in the early 2000s to release new material and perform at various festivals, including the renowned Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival, drawing in old fans while captivating a new audience eager for nostalgic yet fresh sounds.
