Tripping Daisy History
Tripping Daisy is an American alternative rock band formed in 1990 in Dallas, Texas. The band, known for its eclectic sound that blends elements of psychedelic rock, punk, and pop, gained significant popularity in the mid-1990s. The original lineup consisted of Tim DeLaughter (vocals, guitar), Wes Berggren (guitar, backing vocals), Eli Mosley (bass), and Dalton Sardy (drums). Their debut album, 'Bill', released in 1992, featured the hit single 'I Got a Girl', which helped them gain traction within the alternative music scene. Tripping Daisy's energetic live performances became a hallmark of their identity, showcasing their unique sound and DeLaughter's charismatic stage presence. The band gained further recognition with their second album, 'Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb', released in 1995, which included fan-favorite tracks like 'Psycho' and 'Sonic Bloom'. Unfortunately, after the tragic death of guitarist Wes Berggren in 2002, the band went on hiatus but later reunited, bringing back the nostalgia of their vibrant live shows. Over the years, Tripping Daisy has become a beloved name in the alternative rock genre, with a loyal fan base that appreciates their contributions to the 90s music scene.
