    The Tear Garden History

The Tear Garden is a unique musical project that originated in the late 1980s, born out of the collaboration between Edward Ka-Spel of the Legendary Pink Dots and cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy. This collaboration was intended as a creative escape from their respective bands, allowing them to explore a sound that blended elements of dark ambient, industrial, and psychedelic music. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1989, introduced listeners to a deeply atmospheric soundscape marked by haunting melodies, experimental sounds, and thought-provoking lyrics. The Tear Garden's live performances initially became rare spectacles, characterized by elaborate visuals and a mesmerizing blend of sound. Over the years, their concerts cultivated a devoted fanbase, drawn to the transcendental experience they offer. As time evolved, so did their style, incorporating various elements from new wave and electronic music, making their live concerts experience even more dynamic and immersive. Despite periods of dormancy, they have continued to release new material and have maintained their relevance within the underground music scene, contributing to a rich history that straddles several genres and decades.
