The Allman Betts Band History
The Allman Betts Band was formed in 2018 and is composed of the sons of the legendary members of The Allman Brothers Band. Devon Allman, son of guitarist Duane Allman, and Duane Betts, son of guitarist Dickey Betts, teamed up with Berry Duane Oakley, the son of bassist Berry Oakley, to create a band that honors their fathers' musical legacy while forging their own path in the world of Southern rock and blues. The band's debut album, 'Down to the River,' was released in 2019, showcasing a blend of classic rock and modern influences that pay homage to the iconic sound of their predecessors. Their concerts are a celebration of this rich musical heritage, featuring soulful guitar riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and a powerful rhythm section that captivates audiences. The band has been known for their engaging live performances, which often include improvisational jams and collaborations with guest musicians, reminiscent of the Allman Brothers' legendary live shows.
