The Skyhawks have been working to enhance their facilities and training programs to accommodate their new status. In the 2023 season, the team has been focused on building chemistry under the leadership of their coaching staff, who are implementing strategies to help the players adapt to the faster pace and increased competition of Division I football. Fans have shown tremendous support, filling the stands at games and participating in community events that promote the team.     Stonehill Skyhawks Football History

    Stonehill Skyhawks Football has a rich history that dates back to its inception in 1965. The program was established at Stonehill College, a private Catholic college in Easton, Massachusetts. Initially, the team played at the club level and gradually transitioned to intercollegiate competition. In 1974, Stonehill officially became a member of the NCAA and has since competed in various conferences, including the New England Football Conference (NEFC) and later the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10). The team has seen varying degrees of success over the years, with notable performances in the late 1970s and 1980s that helped to establish its reputation in NCAA Division II football. The Skyhawks have produced several standout players who went on to play professionally, contributing to the program's legacy.
