Spikeball History
Spikeball, a sport that blends elements of volleyball and four-square, was invented in 1989 by Chris Ruder, initially as a product called 'Roundnet'. However, it didn't gain significant traction until it was relaunched in 2008 after Ruder polished the design and introduced it to a broader audience. The game features two teams of two players that hit a ball onto a circular net placed at the center of a playing area. The goal is to bounce the ball off the net in a way that the opposing team cannot return it, similar to traditional volleyball rules.
