    Silkworm History

Silkworm was founded in 1994 in the vibrant music scene of Missoula, Montana. The band, consisting of Tim Midgett, Andy Cohen, and Michael Dahlquist, emerged from the underground rock scene, drawing inspiration from alternative rock and indie music influences. Their unique sound, characterized by intricate guitar work and thoughtful lyrics, quickly garnered them a devoted following. Silkworm released several albums in the '90s, including 'In the West' (1995) and 'Dragon' (1996), which showcased their progression as musicians and lyricists. Their raw energy and distinctive style made them a prominent act in the indie rock sphere. Throughout the years, Silkworm’s live performances became legendary for their intensity and connection with audiences, solidifying their reputation as a must-see band in the alternative rock circuit. Sadly, the band experienced a tragic loss with the passing of drummer Michael Dahlquist in 2005, leading to a brief hiatus. However, they reunited years later and continued to perform, celebrating their legacy with both old fans and new listeners alike.
