    Save Ferris History

Save Ferris is an American ska band that originated in Orange County, California, in 1992. The band was formed by vocalist Monique Powell and quickly made a name for themselves in the vibrant ska and punk scene of the 1990s. Their unique sound, characterized by a fusion of ska, punk rock, and pop, gained significant attention with the release of their debut album, 'It Means Everything,' in 1996. The album featured hit singles such as 'The World Is New' and 'Come On Eileen,' which helped propel the band into the mainstream. Save Ferris was known for their high-energy live performances, often featuring a full horn section that added a lively dynamic to their shows. The band toured extensively throughout the late '90s and early 2000s, sharing the stage with notable acts like No Doubt and Reel Big Fish. However, after their sophomore album, 'Modified,' in 1999, the band went on an indefinite hiatus. In 2014, Save Ferris reunited with original members and began performing again, delighting long-time fans and introducing their upbeat sound to a new generation. Their live shows are a celebration of their ska roots, featuring a mix of classic hits and new material, creating an engaging and nostalgic atmosphere for attendees.
