Punch Brothers, an American progressive bluegrass band formed in 2006, emerged from the vibrant music scene of Nashville, Tennessee. The group was founded by Chris Eldridge (guitar), Noam Pikelny (banjo), and Paul Kowert (bass), along with singer-songwriter Chris Thile (mandolin) and violinist Gabe Witcher. Their unique blend of bluegrass, folk, and classical music quickly garnered attention, leading to their debut album 'Punch' in 2008.
