Portland Fire History
Portland Fire was a professional women's soccer team based in Portland, Oregon, that played in the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) from 2001 to 2003. The team was founded in 2001 and quickly gained popularity, showcasing top female soccer talent. Led by head coach Andy McMillan, the Fire drew fans with their high-energy games and competitive spirit. One of the standout players during its short existence was the legendary Hope Solo, who would go on to become one of the most recognizable figures in women's soccer.
