Poor Old Lu is an American alternative rock band that originated in the early 1990s in Seattle, Washington. Formed in 1992, the band was composed of members who had previously played in various local bands, including guitarist and vocalist Gene Eugene, bassist and vocalist John E. D. K. E. M., guitarist Scott Hunter, and drummer Chad Johnson. Their sound, which blends elements of grunge, punk, and alternative rock, quickly garnered attention in the burgeoning Seattle music scene.
