PBR: Teams Series History
Professional Bull Riders (PBR) was founded in 1992 in the United States, emerging from the growing popularity of bull riding as a spectator sport. The organization was created by a group of bull riders who sought to improve the sport's recognition and give riders more opportunities to earn a living. The first PBR World Finals was held in Las Vegas in 1994, establishing an annual tradition that showcases the top bull riders in the world. Over the years, PBR expanded internationally, with events taking place across Canada, Brazil, Australia, and several other countries. In 2021, PBR introduced the Team Series, aiming to enhance fan engagement and create a more dynamic team competition format in addition to the traditional individual events. The Team Series features teams made up of some of the best riders in the world, competing for a championship title, thus marking a new chapter in the evolution of bull riding.
