    Oxygen Destroyer History

Oxygen Destroyer is a four-piece extreme metal band from the vibrant music scene of Seattle, Washington. Founded in 2014 by lead vocalist and guitarist Kyle J. N. (Nick) Smith, alongside bassist and vocalist Kelsey Decker, drummer Dan C. Hallgren, and guitarist Karl R. Adams, the band quickly made waves with their unique blend of thrash metal and hardcore punk influences. Drawing inspiration from their love of classic horror films, specifically the Godzilla franchise, their name reflects a nod to the fictional weapon capable of annihilating giant monsters, mirroring their fierce and aggressive musical style. Their debut album, 'Searing Crystal Plague,' released in 2018, showcased their intense sound and lyrical themes grappling with ecological destruction and human folly. Subsequently, the band gained a devoted following through relentless touring and electrifying live performances, marked by a high-energy stage presence that leaves audiences enthralled. Oxygen Destroyer has shared stages with a myriad of notable acts and participated in several prominent music festivals, earning a reputation for being a must-see live act in the metal community.
