The Oklahoma City Blue, the NBA G League affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, was established in 2014. The team originated as the Tulsa 66ers, which played in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for several years before relocating to Oklahoma City to better connect with the fan base and the Thunder organization. The Blue's name and branding reflect the characteristic blue of the Thunder, symbolizing a strong alliance between the two teams.
