NYO Jazz History
The National Youth Orchestra (NYO) Jazz was established to provide talented young musicians from across the United States with the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment. Founded in 2013 by Carnegie Hall, this ensemble aims to bridge the gap between classical music education and jazz performance. NYO Jazz is an extension of the NYO program, which has a rich history dating back to 2013 when the original National Youth Orchestra was created.
