    Nu Deco Ensemble History

Nu Deco Ensemble was founded in 2015 in Miami, Florida, with the goal of creating a fresh and innovative take on the classical music scene. Established by artistic director and conductor Jacomo Bairos and co-founder Sam Hyken, the ensemble prides itself on blending classical music with contemporary influences, including jazz, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. From its inception, Nu Deco set out to break down the barriers between classical and popular genres, engaging a diverse audience through meticulously curated shows that feature both original compositions and reimagined classical pieces. The ensemble has quickly gained recognition for its dynamic performances, unique arrangements, and collaborations with various artists across genres. Their distinctive approach has led to numerous performances in notable venues across the U.S., including the Adrienne Arsht Center and the New World Center, further solidifying their status as a leading modern classical group. Their commitment to community engagement, including outreach projects and educational initiatives, has also made a significant impact in the local music scene.
