North Florida Ospreys Basketball History
The North Florida Ospreys men's basketball program began in 1980, at the University of North Florida located in Jacksonville, Florida. Initially, the team competed at the NAIA and NCAA Division II levels before transitioning to NCAA Division I in 2009. The Ospreys joined the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2013, which marked a significant step in elevating the program's competitive profile.
