Lowertown History
Lowertown is an indie-pop band hailing from the vibrant music scene in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Formed in 2015, the group originally started as a duo consisting of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Tim Dorr, and vocals and guitar from Adria R. Over the years, Lowertown expanded to include a full band that consists of additional musicians who brought diverse backgrounds and talents to the collective sound. Their music style is characterized by ethereal melodies, introspective lyrics, and lush harmonies, blending elements of folk, pop, and electronic music. Lowertown gained traction with their debut EP, 'How Can It Be,' released in 2018, which showcased their unique approach to songwriting and their ability to evoke deep emotional responses. The band has steadily carved a niche for themselves in the indie music scene, often performing at local venues and festivals, where their energetic and authentic live performances resonate with audiences. Their journey has been marked not only by their growth in sound but also by their dedication to using music as a platform for social change, often incorporating themes of identity and belonging into their work.
