About LFO
In recent years, LFO has seen a resurgence in live performances, capitalizing on the nostalgia for 90s pop culture. The remaining members, Brad Fischetti and Devin Lima, have been active in the concert scene, performing at various music festivals and events that celebrate the pop and boy band music of their heyday. Their concerts typically feature a mix of their classic hits, along with some newer material. Fans flock to their performances, often donning LFO merchandise and reminiscing about their teenage years. In addition to traditional concerts, LFO has participated in nostalgic tours alongside other popular acts from the 90s and early 2000s, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with fans who enjoy reliving their youth. While Devin Lima has faced health challenges, LFO continues to adapt and find ways to engage with their audience, including virtual performances and social media engagement. As the group heads into 2024, they are anticipated to announce new concert dates and possibly new music, promising to keep the spirit of their legacy alive while honoring the memory of their late bandmate, Rich Cronin.
LFO History
LFO, short for Lyte Funkie Ones, is an American pop and hip hop group that gained significant popularity in the late 1990s. The band was formed in 1995 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and originally consisted of members Brad Fischetti, Devin Lima, and Rich Cronin. They are best known for their hit singles 'Summer Girls' and 'Girl on TV,' which topped the charts and became quintessential tracks of the teen pop and boy band era. LFO's music combined catchy hooks with a blend of hip hop and pop, and their lyrics often reflected the fun and carefree spirit of youth. Their debut album, 'LFO,' was released in 1999, followed by 'Life is Good' in 2001. The group experienced a decline in mainstream popularity in the early 2000s, but they continued to perform and release music. Tragically, member Rich Cronin passed away in 2010 due to leukemia, which deeply affected fans and the music community. Despite the challenges, LFO has maintained a loyal fan base, and their music continues to evoke nostalgia for the late '90s pop scene.
