Letlive History
Letlive was an American post-hardcore band formed in 2002 in Los Angeles, California. The group originally consisted of vocalist Jason Aalon Butler, guitarist Jean Nascimento, bassist Ryan Jay Johnson, and drummer Dwayne Johnson. Known for their energetic performances and blending elements of punk rock, hardcore, and alternative rock, Letlive quickly gained a reputation for their dynamic live shows. Their debut album, 'Speak Like You Talk,' was released in 2010, but it was their sophomore effort, 'The Blackest Beautiful,' released in 2013, that solidified their status in the music scene. This album showcased their diverse sound and lyrical depth, addressing themes of personal struggle and societal issues. Letlive was often praised for their intense live performances, where Butler was known to engage the audience with his charismatic stage presence. Throughout their career, Letlive toured extensively, sharing stages with bands like Bring Me The Horizon and The Used, and headlining various festivals across the globe. The band announced their breakup in 2017, causing a wave of disappointment among fans who had come to cherish their electrifying concerts and the emotional connection they fostered during live shows.
