Larry Sparks, often referred to as the 'King of Bluegrass,' has had a significant influence on the bluegrass music scene since the 1960s. Born in 1947 in Lebanon, Ohio, his love for music was nurtured in a family of folk and country musicians. Sparks' career began in earnest when he joined the legendary Stanley Brothers band, where he honed his skills as a guitarist and vocalist. His unique blend of traditional bluegrass with personal storytelling set him apart as an artist. In 1971, he formed his own group, Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers, which solidified his place in bluegrass history. Over the years, Sparks has released more than 20 albums, earning numerous awards, including a Grammy nomination.
