Lance Burton, born on March 10, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, is a renowned magician and illusionist celebrated for his elegant style and impressive stage presence. He began his journey into magic at the young age of 5 after receiving a magic set as a gift, and by the age of 12, he was performing at local clubs. His passion for magic deepened when he studied under the legendary magician Harry Collins, who became his mentor. Lance's talent quickly garnered attention, leading him to win the prestigious International Brotherhood of Magicians' Gold Medal of Excellence at the age of 19. In 1980, he gained national recognition when he appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” which marked a significant turning point in his career. Lance Burton became synonymous with Las Vegas magic when he secured a long-running show at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in 1996, performing there for over a decade. His performances are known for their combination of traditional magic, humor, and elaborate stagecraft, earning him numerous awards, including the Magician of the Year from the Academy of Magical Arts.
