Laidback Luke, born Lucas Cornelis Cornelis van Scheppingen on October 22, 1976, in Manila, Philippines, has established himself as a prominent figure in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. With a career spanning over two decades, Luke's journey began in the late 1990s when he started DJing in local clubs in the Netherlands. His unique blend of house, electro, and progressive styles quickly garnered attention, leading to his first major break in 2001 with the release of his track 'Turbulence.' Luke's innovative approach to music production and his energetic DJ sets helped to shape the sound of the modern EDM movement.
