Killer Dwarfs History
The Killer Dwarfs are a Canadian heavy metal band that formed in 1981 in Oshawa, Ontario. Originally consisting of members Russ "Dwarf" Graham (vocals), Darrell "Dwarf" Millar (drums), and a few others, they gained popularity in the 1980s with their energetic performances and catchy melodies. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1986, featuring songs like 'Keep the Spirit Alive', which helped to establish their reputation in the burgeoning heavy metal scene. The band was known for their distinct sound, combining elements of hard rock and glam metal, which resonated with fans during the era of big hair and larger-than-life performances. Throughout the late 80s and into the 90s, they released several albums, including 'Stand Tall' (1988) and 'Method to the Madness' (1992), which solidified their status in the metal community. Their live performances were characterized by their high energy, engaging stage presence, and audience interaction, making them a favorite at metal festivals and in concert venues across North America. Despite facing lineup changes and a hiatus in the late 90s, the Killer Dwarfs reunited in 2001 and have since continued to tour and release new music, captivating old fans and attracting new ones alike.
