The Vancouver Giants are a major junior ice hockey team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Established in 2001, they are part of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and represent the city at the highest level of junior hockey in North America. The Giants were created to fill the void left by the Vancouver Canucks' former WHL franchise, the Vancouver Blazers, which ceased operations in 1987.
