    Keith Lockhart is an acclaimed conductor, best known for his role as the music director of the Boston Pops Orchestra, a position he has held since 1995. Born on November 2, 1959, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Lockhart exhibited musical talent from a young age, studying piano and later earning a degree in music from the College of Charleston. He continued his education at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a Master's degree in conducting. Lockhart's career took off when he served as the associate conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and later as the principal conductor of the Utah Symphony. His unique ability to blend classical music with popular genres has made him a favorite in the world of live events.
