Henderson Silver Knights History
The Henderson Silver Knights, established in 2020, are a professional ice hockey team based in Henderson, Nevada. They are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights. The team was announced as the AHL's 31st franchise in May 2020 and began play in the 2020-2021 season. The franchise was created to provide a local development team for the Golden Knights, fostering talent and creating a strong hockey community in Southern Nevada. The Silver Knights play their home games at the Dollar Loan Center, a state-of-the-art facility that opened in March 2022. The team's colors are silver, black, and gold, reflecting the branding of their parent club.
