    Headstones History

Headstones, a Canadian rock band formed in 1983, emerged from the vibrant music scene of Toronto, Ontario. The original lineup included lead vocalist Hugh Dillon, guitarist Trent Carr, bassist Gord Prior, and drummer Doug Rumble. Known for their energetic punk-infused rock sound, the band quickly gained popularity with their debut album 'Something Understood' released in 1993. The album featured hits like 'When Something Stands for Nothing' and 'Cemetery.' Over the years, Headstones became known for their engaging live performances characterized by Dillon's dynamic stage presence and the band's raw, unapologetic energy. They solidified their status in the Canadian music scene with subsequent albums and several Juno Award nominations. However, the band faced challenges in the late 1990s, leading to a hiatus in 2000. They reunited in 2011 and have since continued to tour and produce new music, maintaining a devoted fan base and a strong presence in the live concert circuit.
