The band's original lineup included vocalist Alan Frew, guitarist and keyboardist Mike Tait, bassist Wayne Parker, and drummer Chris Nunn. They gained significant popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with their debut album 'The Thin Red Line' released in 1986, which featured the hit single 'Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone).' This song climbed to the top of the charts, becoming a significant anthem of the era and solidifying the band's place in the music scene. Glass Tiger's sound is characterized by a blend of rock and pop elements, marked by melodic hooks and emotional lyrics. Their follow-up albums, including 'Diamond Sun' and 'Simple Mission,' further expanded their reach, with tracks like 'Someday' and 'My Town' becoming staples on radio stations across Canada and the United States. Over the years, Glass Tiger has been known for their energetic live performances, captivating audiences with their charisma and stage presence. The band's contributions to music have earned them several Juno Awards, including Best New Group and Best Single.
