Future Teens History
Future Teens, formed in 2015 in Boston, Massachusetts, quickly carved a niche within the indie rock and pop-punk scenes. Initially beginning as a small project among friends, the band comprised vocalist-guitarist Amy Hoffman, guitarist-lyricist Matt Dorr, bassist Reade Eaglin, and drummer P.J. Anderson. They gained recognition for their refreshing take on emotional punk, blending catchy melodies with introspective lyrics often addressing themes of love, loss, and youthful angst. Their debut EP, "Believe Me, Baby, I Much Prefer Being Alone", showcased their nuanced songwriting and energetic sound, setting the stage for their rise in the live music scene. As they continued to tour and release music, their reputation for engaging live performances grew, captivating audiences with their earnestness and relatable narratives. Their sophomore album, "Sweat”, released in 2020, further solidified their foothold, featuring tighter arrangements and a more mature lyrical approach, drawing praise from both fans and critics alike.
