Founded by Keith Latinen and his then-girlfriend, the duo quickly became known for their emotionally charged lyrics and intricate instrumentation. Although they began recording in a lo-fi style, they soon gained attention for their dynamic live performances. Over the years, Empire! Empire! has released several records, including the celebrated full-length albums 'What It Takes to Move Forward' and 'You Will Eventually Be Forgotten'. Their music blends elements of indie rock and post-rock, appealing to fans of various genres within the emo scene. The band's dedication to heartfelt themes captured audience's hearts, and they became a staple in the underground music circuit. In 2016, they took a hiatus but returned in 2020 to tour again, leading to a eagerly awaited resurgence in live performances, re-engaging with both old fans and a new generation drawn to the emotion and storytelling in their music.
