Coal Chamber History
Coal Chamber is an American heavy metal band that emerged in 1994 from Los Angeles, California. Known for their unique blend of nu-metal and groove metal, they quickly established themselves with their self-titled debut album in 1997. Their music is characterized by dark themes, heavy guitar riffs, and a distinctive sound that combines elements of metal, industrial, and alternative rock. The band was formed by vocalist Dez Fafara, guitarist Miguel Rasgado, bassist and backing vocalist Nadja Peulen, and drummer Mike Cox. After gaining notoriety, Coal Chamber released their sophomore album, "Chamber Music," in 1999, which further solidified their presence in the music scene and featured fan-favorite tracks like 'Loco' and 'Big Truck.' However, due to internal conflicts and lineup changes, the band disbanded in 2003.
