Civ History
Civ, the American punk rock singer and frontman for the band Civ, emerged in the early 1990s. Known for his energetic performances and engaging stage presence, Civ initially gained prominence as a member of the influential hardcore band Gorilla Biscuits which formed in 1987. After Gorilla Biscuits disbanded, he launched his own project, Civ, in 1995, releasing the self-titled debut album on the prominent hardcore label, Revelation Records. This new band combined melodic punk elements with hardcore energy, capturing the interest of a diverse audience. Throughout the late 90s and early 2000s, Civ became known for its high-energy live performances, which often featured anthems about personal empowerment and community.
