YG Tickets

From internet to mainstream music industry, YG is now turning into a hip hop superstar. West Coast rap is what he is about and he is pretty proud of it too. He has been the torchbearer for West Coast rap over the last few years.

YG is also one of the few West Coast rappers that have become stars without the influence of Dr. Dre in one form or another. While YG has been making music for almost a decade now, he did not catch the attention of the masses for quite a few years. That all changed in 2014 with “My Krazy Life.”

Life has taken a whole new meaning for YG and his ambition is to reach the top by doing his thing. If you want to see why he has got so many fans dancing to his hip hop tunes, then grab your YG tickets and catch him in his element live.

The Early Years

YG began his career in the year 2008 and became quite an internet sensation with tracks like Aim Me and She a Model. In the year 2009, he came out with his first ever single Toot It and Boot It. The track featured Ty Dolla Sign and it did well enough for YG to land a recording deal with Def Jam Recordings. He came out with a few mixtapes but his first major break still eluded him.

In the year 2012, YG made an announcement that his first studio album will be titled “I’m 4rm Bompton” and that Syla$ will produce it. In June of the same year, he announced that CTE World, Jeezy’s own record label will release the record. He also went on to feature quite prominently on the mixtape titled “Boss Yo Life Up Gang.”

My Krazy Life

YG then decided to change the name of his debut album to “My Krazy Life.” On September 4, 2013, he announced that the album will be released through Def Jam and will hit the stores on November 19, 2013.

YG released the single My Nigga shortly afterwards and it went on to peak at the nineteenth spot on the US Billboard Hot 100. In December of that year an announcement was made by Def Jam that the release date of My Krazy Life had been pushed back to February 18, 2014.

The album eventually hit the stores a month later on March 18, 2014 and went to the second spot on the US Billboard 200 on its debut. It also peaked at the first spot on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and the US Top Rap Albums charts. My Krazy Life went platinum in the United States.

The album had critics raving too. AllMusic gave it four stars out of five while it received three and a half stars out of five from Rolling Stone. The track My Nigga, released as the lead single of the album, was a huge hit too on the commercial front. It was certified triple platinum by the RIAA.

Still Brazy

YG released his second studio album “Still Brazy” on June 17, 2016. The album went on to debut at the sixth position on the Billboard 200. The album also peaked at the third spot on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Still Brazy also charted in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The album turned out to be a major critical success too. It received four stars out of five from AllMusic and Slant Magazine. It also received an eight out of ten rating at Spin, PopMatters and Pitchfork.
