Yankee Stadium Tickets

A larger than life team deserves a larger than life stadium, and that’s what the Yankees got in the most expensive baseball park ever built, and the second most expensive stadium of any kind, with a price tag of $1.5 billion.

Located in South Bronx in New York City, Yankee Stadium is the proud home field to the New York Yankees, one of the most famous and successful Major League Baseball franchises of all time. Yankee Stadium opened its doors in the beginning of the 2009 MLB season, and was made to replace the original Yankee Stadium, which had opened in 1923 and closed in 2008. The new Yankee Stadium pays homage to the original by using many of the same design elements that made the original so famous.

The new Yankee Stadium is 63% larger than the original stadium, with a generous 500,000 square feet more space. With wider concourses and open sight lines, viewing is vastly improved for the fans. There are over 1,100 high-definition monitors throughout the stadium, so guests can keep up with the action no matter where they are. Baseball fans never want to miss a second of the action and Yankee Stadium does a great job facilitating that.

Yankee Stadium is truly a beautiful structure that is a pleasure to visit. Boasting a generous seating capacity of 50,086, gorgeous green grass, larger seats, and more legroom, Yankee Stadium is one of the most luxurious places to see a baseball game. The stadium was constructed with all of the latest design methods and materials, so it is not surprising that it is one of the most state of the art ballparks in the MLB. The great thing is that Yankee Stadium does not sacrifice the nostalgic “retro” feel in favor of a more futuristic design. New and old Yankees fans alike will appreciate this legendary stadium for years and years to come. Grab your NY Yankees tickets and head over to enjoy some live baseball at this state of the art venue!

Getting There and Getting In

Parking & Directions

Yankee Stadium is located in South Bronx at One East 161ST Street, Bronx, NY. It is accessible from the Major Deegan Expressway (Interstate 87). For those going Northbound on I-87, take Exit 3 (Grand Concourse and East 138th St), Exit 4 (East 149th St), or Exit 5 (East 161st St). Southbound travelers will want to take either Exit 6 (East 153rd St and River Ave) or Exit 5 (East 161st St). Always be sure to leave at least an hour early in order to avoid pre-game traffic – especially for night games.

Many guests find that it is easier to take public transportation if possible. Parking is easier and cheaper further away from the stadium. The no. 4 train goes to Yankee Stadium. Take the B train before 8pm, or the D train after 8pm. Delta Baseball Water Taxi also offers a FREE ferry service to Mets and Yankees games. Make sure to do some research and plan the trip in advance just to be sure.

There are plenty of parking lots in the area, but they can get quite congested, as well as expensive. A general rule of thumb is that parking away from the stadium will save time and money in the long run. Although parking right across from the stadium may seem ideal, the reality is that people end up sitting in traffic trying to get out of the garage and out of the congested city. Be sure to plan ahead and leave early. There is no shortage of activities to do in the city, which is why many traveling fans prefer to come in the morning, or even the day before, to enjoy the city before the game.
