    Waterloo Black Hawks History

    The Waterloo Black Hawks are a junior ice hockey team based in Waterloo, Iowa. Founded in 1964, they are a part of the United States Hockey League (USHL), which is one of the premier junior leagues in the country. The Black Hawks were established as part of the expansion of junior hockey in the Midwest. Their name pays homage to the Black Hawk War, a military conflict that took place in the early 19th century in the region.
