Parking & Directions

The United Center is located at 1901 W. Madison St. If you are traveling from the north, take I-90 to the Madison Street exit, make a right onto Madison St, and then you will see the building on your left. If you are coming from the south, take I-55 N to the Damen exit and make a left. Travel northbound for roughly 7 minutes until you see the venue on your right. If you are coming from the East, simply take Madison St west from the loop. Travelers from the west should take I-290 E to exit 28A (Damen Ave). Take Damen Ave north to Madison St, take a right onto Madison and then you will see the building to your right.

Taking public transportation or walking is often cheaper and faster than trying to drive directly to the venue and park. If you park somewhere in downtown, you may be able to avoid the traffic that can build up before a big event. If you are taking the CTA, get on the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown line to Madison. You can also that the #20 bus west. The #19 United Center Express Bus also runs on game days, beginning 90 minutes prior to the start of the event.

There are over 5,500 parking spots within walking distance to the venue. If you do plan on parking on-site, be sure to plan for parking fees. You will also want to arrive at least an hour before the event begins, as spaces do fill up incredibly fast. Parking prices do vary, so be sure to check with the venue before the event. Some family events even offer free parking. Do some research beforehand and you may be able to save some money and time.
