They say that everything is bigger in Texas, and Houston's Toyota Center is certainly no exception. Spanning an enormous six city blocks, this premier sports and entertainment venue has quickly risen to the top of its class. This versatile venue has attracted the biggest acts in the entire world, and there is no doubt that it will continue to be a must-play for touring acts.
The Toyota Center is most commonly known for being the home to high flying basketball by way of Houston Rocket tickets. However, this venue is extremely versatile, and can be transformed to meet the demands of any event. In its relatively short lifespan, the Toyota Center has hosted some of the biggest concerts in the world, as well as other events like UFC and WWE Wrestling. Basically, if a major event is coming through Texas, the Toyota Center tends to be the place to see it.
The Toyota Center boasts many modern amenities and 18,403 seats. While there is certainly something to be said for classic venues, the Toyota Center has managed to become a modern classic by combining traditional design with recent technology. Most older venues are upgrading their facilities to bring them up to date, but the Toyota Center was built with those kinds of features ready to go. This breathtaking venue is highlighted by large open windows, and the seats are known for being some of the most comfortable arena seats in the nation.
It is no surprise that this amazing venue has been met with such positive response from the media, critics, and regular visitors. The Toyota Center won Central Houston's prestigious Allen Award for Civic Enhancement in 2003, as well as winning “Rookie of the Year” by the Harlem Globetrotters in 2004. The Toyota Center was even a finalist in the world-renowned Pollstar Magazine's “Best New Concert Venue” award.
