Snag Go'Go's tickets to see the first all-female band to hit the billboard charts playing their own instruments. And they still really rock. You’d be surprised, but for a band usually billed as “totally 80s,” The Go-Go’s sounds still totally holds up. They actually sounds less like a throw back and more contemporary. The original line up remains mostly in tact with front woman Belinda Carlisle still holding it down and rocking out on lead vocals. Chances are you’ll catch her performing barefoot. Even though the music holds up, it’ll still feel like a throwback for the 80s fans in the room. That’s because The Go-Go’s haven’t released a new album in quite some time, and anyway, it’s the hits the fans come to hear. Expect to see most people up on their feet in the audience, especially during favorites like We Got the Beat and Our Lips are Sealed. Audience members skew in the age bracket who loved the Go-Go’s the first time around. They’ll be dancing and singing along with all their favorite songs, so it’ll feel more like a dance party than a concert.
