The Gateway Arch is that undeniable symbol of St. Louis that lets you know you’ve arrived in the city on the Mississippi. With tons to do in a vibrant and historic downtown, you won’t want to leave, even more so when you hear about all the sports, theater, and music opportunities around the city. It’s been called a “top notch sports town.”
Also known as “Baseball City USA,” St. Louis Cardinals tickets are one of the most demanded in all of baseball. Hockey fans show their love for their home team with St. Louis Blues tickets. In 1995, the city’s first NFL team arrrived and St. Louis Rams tickets instantly became a hit. St. Louis is also known as a major hotbed for soccer fans in the US. The city has what some say is the richest soccer history in the country, despite not having a MLS team of its own.
The Cardinals’ home is Busch Stadium, the third incarnation of a stadium by that name in the city. It also serves as a concert venue. Scottrade Center, home of the Blues, is a versatile event space that hosts concerts, sporting events, and family shows as well. Easily accessible by public transportation, you can catch a Rams game at the Edward Jones Dome.
For music lovers, the city is home to the St. Louis Symphony, the second oldest of its kind in the country. They play at Powell Symphony Hall. You can catch theater performances at Grand Center just west of Downtown. Broadway shows tour through the Fox Theater, and there’s great programming at the Peabody Opera House.
St. Louis has so much to offer once you step through that Arch and into a city bustling with sports and entertainment.
