Russ has taken an unusual path to stardom. While his studio album debut came in early 2017, he had already released eleven albums through his own SoundCloud page. And those albums made an impact too.
Russ is young and he is extremely talented but his biggest strength is the confidence he has in his own abilities. Now he is on his way to the top and with that comes a lot of pressure. He is taking everything in his stride right now and it seems to be working for him. Hip hop fans have started to take notice of his abilities and that is why demand for Russ tickets is going up with every show that he does live.
A lot of people might not know this but Russ has been making music for a decade now, when he was just fourteen years old. Born in New Jersey, he spent quite a few of his early years moving from one place to another because of his father’s nature of job. Eventually they settled in Georgia.
Russ began releasing his albums on SoundCloud in 2011. That was a time when he was also coming out with almost a track every week. Russ then began to release three albums a year on the website. The idea was to put his tracks together and release them as an album rather than uploading them one by one.
Russ Makes an Impact
Russ became quite a celebrity on SoundCloud. He then received a recording contract from Columbia Records in the year 2016 and that was the start of his journey as a mainstream hip hop star.
Russ came out with a single What They Want and it went on to peak at the eighty third spot on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track Losing Control followed and it went on to chart at the sixty second position on the US Billboard Hot 100.
It was now time for Russ to come out with his first studio album and he delivered. The record was titled “There’s Really a Wolf” and it hit the music stores on May 5, 2017. The album went on to peak at the seventh spot on the US Billboard 200 and went as high as the fourth spot on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. There’s Really a Wolf also charted in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, New Zealand and Switzerland. The record has been certified gold in the US already.
Russ Tour Tickets
Before releasing There’s Really a Wolf, Russ had announced that he will hit the road right after the album comes out. Titled “The Wake Up Tour”, the concert tour saw him perform from May 16th all the way till August 5th. Russ tour tickets were in demand as expected and the trek turned out to be a success. His fans have been waiting for him to go on the road again and who knows he might just do that soon.
