Rock on the Range – Where Rock Lives!

Reaching out to a diverse audience, the annual Rock on the Range extravaganza will cater to your love for all things rock and heavy metal. Running successfully since 2007, the three-day rock festival witnesses an attendance of around 120,000, bringing people from all over the US. Taking place in Columbus at the Mapfre Stadium, the choice of city was deliberate.

According to the co-producer of Rock on the Range, Joe Litvag, the state of Ohio has a tremendous rock n roll history. There are more rock fans in the region as compared to all the other areas, combined. Columbus served as a prime location due to the prestigious Ohio State University and also because of its central positioning.

The growing popularity of the festival encouraged the organizers to take it to Winnipeg as well, where it takes place at the Canad Inns Stadium. Founded by Danny Wimmer, his vision was to provide top-class live entertainment to the fans that allowed them to watch their favorite rock musicians under one roof.

Entering its 12th year, the 2018 Rock on the Range will be held from May 18 – 20 at the Mapfre Stadium in Columbus. The lineup announced so far includes big names like Tool, Alice in Chains and Avenged Sevenfold. Rock on the Range tickets holders will also get to enjoy live performance by Black Veil Brides, A Perfect Circle, Stone Temple Pilots, Stone Sour and Breaking Benjamin, among others.

Next year the festival returned with a second date and 27 bands were roped in. Papa Roach returned to the main stage on popular demand and the two-day festival drew in a crowd of 55,000.

In 2011, Rock on the Range decided to add a third date to the festival and featured legendary stars like Led Zeppelin. Bullet for My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Steel Panther and Danko Jones also showed the fans the time of their lives with their rock anthems.
