Everyone loves revivals – especially Pippin, which won the Tony for Best Musical Revival. The story of a son of King Charlemagne’s epic quest to find his “Corner in the Sky,” this updated version of an all-time favorite, Pippin returns under the direction of multiple Tony nominee Diane Paulus. Paulus, who was nominated for Best Director (Hair), reimagines Pippin in this much-hyped revival. The plot is one that everyone can relate to as it examines a young prince trying to find his purpose for existence.
Pippin is played by the talented Matthew Jones Thomas, a former London stage actor who got his Broadway break in the original production of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. Patina Miller, Terrance Mann, and Annie Potts round out the cast. The incredible choreography was designed by Bob Fosse and features breathtaking acrobatics from the world renowned Les 7 Doigts De La Main.
Pippin is now playing on Broadway in the Music Box Theatre, located at 239 West 45th Street in midtown-Manhattan. The venue opened in September 1921 and can hold 860 passionate Broadway fans, making it one of the most intimate venues in the city.
