    Moon Hooch History

Moon Hooch is an American band formed in 2010 by three students of the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City: Wenzl McGowen, Mike Wilbur, and James Reilly. The group is known for its unique blend of genres, incorporating elements of jazz, electronic, and dance music into their performances. They gained initial recognition by busking in subway stations, where their energetic performances captured the attention of commuters and helped them build a dedicated fan base. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2013, showcased their innovative sound and instrumental prowess, featuring an array of woodwinds, drums, and electronic influences. Over the years, Moon Hooch has released several albums, such as 'This is Cave Music' and 'Red Sky,' further solidifying their reputation as a boundary-pushing live act. Their high-energy concerts are characterized by improvisation, intricate rhythms, and a strong connection with the audience, making each performance a unique experience.
