    Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters Women's Basketball History

    The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters women's basketball program was established in 1974 and has since become one of the most storied programs in NCAA women's basketball history. Founded by head coach Sonja Hogg, the team quickly gained recognition for its competitive spirit and skilled players. The Techsters marked their significance in women's basketball by winning the first NCAA Women's Basketball Championship in 1982, showcasing their ability to compete at the national level. Over the years, the program has been home to numerous All-Americans and WNBA players, including the likes of Teresa Weatherspoon and Chamique Holdsclaw.
