    Emery History

Emery is an American rock band formed in 2001 in South Carolina. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Toby Morrell, guitarist and backing vocalist Devin Shelton, drummer and backing vocalist Josh Head, and bassist and keyboardist Matt Carter. The band gained prominence with the release of their debut album, 'The Weak's End,' in 2004, which showcased a blend of post-hardcore and alternative rock. This debut was well-received and set the stage for their subsequent albums, including 'The Question' (2005) and 'While Broken Hearts Prevail' (2011). Over the years, Emery has been known for their energetic live performances, which often include a mix of their heavier tracks and softer melodies. The band's ability to connect with their audience during concerts has solidified their reputation in the concert scene. They have toured extensively across the United States and internationally, participating in various music festivals and supporting larger acts, which has contributed to their growth and fanbase expansion. Their music often reflects themes of personal struggle, faith, and resilience, which resonate deeply with their listeners, making their live shows not just concerts, but communal experiences.
